How would I know if I’m obese?

Physicians and dieticians use a formula that measures your Body Mass Index or BMI. Knowing your BMI, gives you an idea regarding your health status. It gives physicians and dieticians a basis on how to help you lose weight fast and safely. People, who successfully lose weight, consider this formula as the “formula of life”.

In order to determine your BMI, divide your weight in kilograms by the square of your height as represented in this formula:

BMI Formula: BMI = weight in kg./ (height)(height)

If you have a BMI of 25 to 29.9 or more, you are considered overweight. A BMI of 30 and above mean that you are obese. Keep in mind that the higher the BMI, the more predisposed a person is to have obesity related diseases.
